Central Access Helping Schools In Hurricane Readiness
August 29, 2008 Jackson, Mississippi

Central Access Corporation, in a good faith effort, is offering free use of their Active Instant Message (AIM), an emergency call notification system. This will assist all 92 SAM6i school districts in their hurricane readiness efforts. It is being provided free of charge until the hurricane threats have expired. The almost immediate customer reaction confirmed the decision of the company. They were surprised by the number of responses from school districts requesting to utilize this product in order to notify the parents of their students. Connie Phillips, Director of Finance for Chickasaw School District, was one of the first to respond, “Way to go Central! I love doing business with a company that cares about the school districts of Mississippi! Very generous gesture! You guys and gals are the best!”

The AIMS Notification System allows all SAM6i school districts to contact both parents and employees via phone, email, or text messaging seamlessly due to full integration between SAM6i and AIM. Superintendent for Simpson County School District, Joe Welch, took advantage of the offer as well. In response to our initial offer made on August 27, Mr. Welch stated, “Currently we are paying for a cumbersome calling systems that produces very inaccurate results. In these emergencies, we need to know that the correct people are being contacted. We are excited about the opportunity to use the complimentary service.”

The first customer to purchase AIMS was Hancock County School District. Technology Director, Marlene Ladner posted the following message on a forum maintained by Mississippi Educational Computing Association, “Take advantage of the offer that Central Access has made, I encourage all of the coastal counties to do so. Once you have used the call system you will see how vital it is to your district… There is no exporting or importing data from another system, all of your data is there for you... We have not had to use the Emergency notification as of yet, but looks like we may be using it by the weekend. Just wanted to let you all know how it has been a great tool for our district.”

Central Access Corporation, based in Ridgeland, has been serving schools in Mississippi for over fifty years. When Jay Milam, President of Central Access, was asked the winning formula, that has provided the business continuous success for over half a century, he was quick to reply, “First priority is the customer. Our customer support staff is impeccable. The development team keeps churning out quality results. The technical department has a service oriented mentality. We encourage innovative ideas from our employees and listen to the needs of our customers.”

Currently, Central Access is looking forward to expanding the call notification system for use by municipalities and businesses. This project is estimated to be completed within the next twelve months. For more information on Central Access contact Jay Milam at 1-800-845-3976.
